The Beautiful Outdoors :))

With Summertime in full force, we've really been great about getting out and about to enjoy all that our little Southern state has to offer!

Once we camped in Unicoi park- three weeks ago with wonderful friends and family from Charlotte. Jenny's Creek Campground- highly recommended! Hot showers, clean bathrooms, respectful 'neighbors,' and no craziness that I observed :)

Twice we've taken the kids to Helen to go tubing and we've loved it!! The first time, we were all a bit hesitant as to how the kids and we would handle the bumps and spins, but by the second Saturday, Bun was leaning her head all the way back to dip her hair in the Chattahoochee, and Julesy fell right to sleep. Beautiful.

Thrice, we've hiked with the kiddos- W.D. Thompson Park, Anna Ruby Falls, and Tallulah Gorge. Anna Ruby Falls topped the other two in terms of wildlife and do-ability for Bunny and Jules. They enjoyed spotting slugs, millipedes, snails, lavender butterflies, and three types of trout along the river. We saw trees 'growing' out of rocks, learned that the Cherokee favored the yellow tulip poplar for canoe construction, and leaped in excitement at the first site of the falls.

And, too many times to count, have we taken ourselves over to the pool and Oakhurst Community Garden to visit the chickens, frogs, and the sandbox.

It's shaping up to be an incredibly warm, enjoyable summer for all! :)
